South Central Railway invites online applications for the engagement of Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. This is an excellent opportunity for eligible candidates to gain hands-on training in various trades and kickstart their careers in the railway sector. Below are the details of the notification:

• Closing Date/Time of Online Application: 27-01-2025, 23:59 hrs

Total Vacancies: 4232

Online applications are invited from eligible candidates residing in districts under South Central Railway jurisdiction for engagement of apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961, and Apprenticeship Rules, 1962.

Important Instructions

1. Eligibility: Candidates must be residents of states/districts listed under South Central Railway jurisdiction. Proof of residence, valid Aadhaar, email ID, and mobile number are mandatory.
2. Online Registration:
   • Aadhaar details are required.
   • If Aadhaar is not available, the 28-digit Aadhaar enrollment ID can be used.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Age:
   • Minimum: 15 years
   • Maximum: 24 years (as of 28-12-2024)
   • Relaxation:
     • SC/ST: +5 years
     • OBC: +3 years
     • PwBD/Ex-Servicemen: +10 years
2. Educational Qualifications:
   • Passed 10th Class (50% aggregate) under the 10+2 system.
   • ITI certificate in relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT-recognized institutes.

Selection Process

• Selection is based on a merit list.
• The merit list is prepared by taking the average percentage of marks in:
  1. 10th Class
  2. ITI Examination (equal weightage).
• In case of a tie:
  • Older candidate is preferred.
  • If DOB is the same, the one who passed 10th earlier is considered.
