Example 9

Harpreet tosses two different coins at the same time (₹1 coin and ₹2 coin). What is the probability that she gets at least one head?

Solution:
Possible outcomes when two coins are tossed:
(H, H), (H, T), (T, H), (T, T)
Total outcomes = 4

Favourable outcomes with at least one head:
(H, H), (H, T), (T, H) → Total = 3

So, the probability is:

P(at least one head) = ¾
